Jan has over 20 years experience of developing software.
He has had various positions as software developer, project manager, line
manager, consultant, and researcher.
Jan currently works at
ABB
Corporate Research in Sweden.
Philosophy
Jan believes in the importance of empowering individuals and teams. Software
development cannot be successful without disciplined, motivated people.
He is interested in both the technical and human side of
software development.

Jan is a

Instructor.
He has
taught
five
one-week sessions of
"Personal Software Process for Engineers",
which is for developer members of software project teams.
Jan has also taught three
"TSP Executive Strategy Seminars":
two at Swedish ABB software development organizations, and one in the US.
Jan is also a SEI-authorized
TSPSM
(Team Software ProcessSM)
Coach.
He launched, relaunched, and actively coached one ABB development project, which had two teams using TSP, in the US.
Jan is currently coaching a TSP team in Sweden.
Additionally, Jan is gradually introducing Agile
and PSP/TSP principles with other projects he coaches in Sweden.

Jan has collaborated with his ABB TSP Coaching teammate,

"TSP-EF Proposal: A Team Software ProcessSM Evaluation Framework",
and
"Using a 'TSPSM Evaluation Framework' to Measure TSPSM/PSPSM Compliance",
the second in a planned
series of TSP-EF papers.
